Palu (UINDK Palu PR) – The Dean of the Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Dakwah (FUAD) at the State Islamic University (UIN) Datokarama Palu, H. Sidik, along with the Vice Dean I for Academic and Institutional Affairs, Mokh Ulil Hidayat, expressed support for the upcoming activities planned by the Regional Council of the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) in Central Sulawesi.
The proposed activities include the dissemination and basic training in television journalism, which will be provided to students to expand their knowledge and practical experience in journalism, as facilitated by the members of IJTI Central Sulawesi.
“We appreciate your visit, which allows us to strengthen our relationship,” said H. Sidik during the meeting with the Chairman of IJTI Central Sulawesi, Hendra, and the members of IJTI Central Sulawesi, Mitha Meinansi, in his office on Friday (15/9).
Sidik emphasized that the presence of IJTI could serve as a significant support to academic activities in FUAD UIN Palu. Among the nine departments in the faculty, two have a strong connection to journalism, namely the Department of Communication and Broadcasting and the Department of Informatics.
Therefore, he expressed a positive response to IJTI Central Sulawesi’s efforts to create a new generation of television journalists, including membership and leadership opportunities in the future.
“We strongly support IJTI’s planned activities, but we hope it goes beyond mere dissemination and that there is continuity. If necessary, we can formalize this collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU),” said Ulil Hidayat.
Ulil even invited IJTI Central Sulawesi to collaborate with FUAD to become part of the certification process for obtaining a Diploma Supplement Certificate, marking the readiness and competence of graduates to enter the workforce.
