Kuala Lumpur (July 5, 2023) – Professor Dr. Lukman S. Thahir, M.Ag, a Professor at UIN Datokarama Palu, was invited as a speaker at the International Symposium “Human Dignity and Peaceful Coexistence” held on July 5-6, 2023, at the Seri Pacific Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The symposium was a collaborative effort between the Institute of Islamic Studies and Society (IKIM), Brigham Young University, UID Sejahtera, and the Malaysia Theological Seminary. It aimed to discuss crucial issues concerning human rights and peaceful living. With its engaging theme, the event was expected to serve as a significant platform for promoting a better understanding of human dignity and interfaith harmony.
Prof. Dr. Lukman S. Thahir, who also serves as the Chairman of PWNU Central Sulawesi, was selected as a speaker based on his renowned expertise and significant contributions in the fields of religious studies and peace advocacy. He shared his insights on the importance of upholding human rights and fostering harmonious relationships among various social and religious groups.
